Chewing on fingernails, coloring in the lines, picking at scabs, and indulging in salty snacks are just a few ways that I find relief from my own anxiety and depression. I think a lot about habits and behaviors that I engage in comfort-- for better or for worse -- and am regularly reflecting on my own actions to find humor and compassion for myself in my day to day life.

"I'm So Relieved!" is a new project that opens up the chance to share all of the ways we self-soothe or deal with uncomfortable feelings such as anxiety, stress, fear, or boredom. My hope is that through sharing our vulnerabilities we can create a collection to help us laugh, cry and prop one another up.

I invite you to share your habits for relief in the form below. It can be as serious or as silly as you like. Submissions will be collected and used in my studio to inspire images for a book available for download on my site in early 2019. All submissions will remain anonymous.

Thank you for taking the time to participate and please share with your friends!
